Faculty

Mary Birmingham is a noted author and educator in areas of sacramental and liturgical catechesis, sacramental theology and ecclesiology. She is a member of the North American Forum on the Catechumenate.

Margaret Brack is an accomplished vocalist, instrumentalist, choreographer and composer who has worked in pastoral ministry for 20 years. She also serves as the chair of choir festivals for the National Association of Pastoral Musicians.

Sue Espinosa is an event manager working with groups exploring the connections between spirituality, art, science and social justice. She also has 20 years of experience with parish and non-profit administration.

Diana Macalintal Kaulback is a campus minister at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, Calif., and the music editor for Resource Publications, Inc. She is also the co-author of The Musician’s Book of the Mass and has many years of experience as a music director and liturgist.

Samuel Torvend teaches liturgical preparation and presiding at Institute in Catholic Theological Studies and the history of Christianity at Pacific Lutheran University. He is a liturgical catechist in the Archdiocese of Seattle, vice president of the Liturgical Conference and a member of NAAL.

Nick Wagner is the editor of Ministry & Liturgy magazineand is the author of several books, the latest of which is Nine Steps to Becoming a Better Lector. He is a frequent workshop leader in all areas of liturgical ministry.
