About Eucharist

We conclude 2004 with a collection of articles on the Eucharist commissioned by former editor Catherine Qualls. Richard Brown shows us how the Mass itself is the primary model for adult catechesis. He talks about the interplay between Scripture and experience, among other things. Alan Capasso’s article demonstrates what Richard means — here’s a fond reminiscence that shows not only how the Scriptures interpret a baptized person’s life but how one’s life leads us into Scripture and sacrament. Mary Testin’s elegant piece is a call to find reverence, communion, and humility at the center of our celebration of Eucharist. As always, your faithful guides Amy Florian and Eliot Kapitan provide you with tools for your ministry.

Looking forward

Think ahead to the challenges that await your ministry beyond the first of the new year. What advice, guidance, or support can this magazine offer you? We have some great subjects and superb authors lining up for volume 8. Your suggestions will help refine and finalize our plans. I’m eager to hear from you: DavidP@rpinet.com.LC
