| In the last several years, I have noticed that school teachers
have been asking their students to write letters to the editors of local
newspapers. This practice, with some adaptation, could involve all the
generations in your parish. Here is one way it could work.
Assign the Sunday readings for the upcoming week to one age level or group in your catechetical program. After breaking open the word, ask them to write letters to the parish community explaining how the Sunday readings have challenged them into action. Post the letters on bulletin boards or as inserts in the Sunday bulletin. Assign a different group to the project the following week. In this way, you will connect the parish together with the Sunday readings. |
