This is a series of eight collages, one for each Sunday from Easter to Pentecost. They are based on group reflections on eight Scripture passages. Eight psalms and eight pieces of music were also created to go with them. They are installed around the walls of the church sanctuary for individual contemplation and reflection. Each collage features one of eight colors (three primary, three secondary, and black and white). Each incorporates a form of natural light: lightning, sunrise, sunset, northern lights, moonlight, sun dog, fire; uses a circle theme to symbolize perfection, eternity, etc.; and incorporates aspects of the Canadian landscape. The collages are: The Angel, The Garden, The Road to Emmaus, Thomas, The Fish, The Lamb, The Ascension, and Pentecost. Each piece is 25" x 27". Each is supported by illustration board. Over a wash of fluid acrylic color, tissue, Japanese, and other papers were adhered with "Golden" acrylic gloss medium. The work was finished with two isolation coats of "Golden" soft gel "gloss, two coats of thinned "Golden" polymer varnish with UVLS (gloss), and a final coat of "Golden" polymer varnish with UVLS (satin).
