Inside ML

Who's the liturgist?

Who plans liturgy in your parish? Not the liturgist, if your parish is like most. In most parishes there is no one person who carries that title. Liturgy planning is often a team effort involving the pastor, the catechists, the musicians, the liturgy committee and various other members of the community.

ML's underlying question every month is, "What kind of resources does a parish like that need to celebrate beautiful liturgy?" Ten times a year, ML brings you the kind of help you need to plan the best liturgy possible for your community.

Soft-wear

Mary Testin, a vestment designer in St. Paul, Minn., brings readers some tips on acquiring a different kind of soft-wear. Turn to page 4 to learn how to select good, quality garments for your community.

Correction

In the excerpt from Handbells in the Liturgy: A Practical Guide for the Use of Handbells in Liturgical Worship, (ML 24:5, pp. 8-9), the copyright holder should have been listed as Schulmerich Carillons, Inc., of Sellerville, Pa. Schulmerich also holds the copyright for the photos that appeared with the article.

Correction

In the May and June-July issues (ML 24:4, 24:5), the floor plan of the ongoing project for St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Austin, Texas, appeared in articles written by Robert Habiger. The drawings should have been credited to the firm of Cotera, Kolar, & Negrete, which is the architect for the project. The error was the editors and not the authors.
