Dear Editor,

I have enclosed a photo of the environment we created for the Easter Vigil and Easter season in our church. It is an old church (built in 1899) that we remodeled in the past five years. The side altars remain. The baptismal font has been placed in the sanctuary area so baptismal celebrations are seen by the entire assembly.

Since we have so few baptisms (we are an inner-city parish), we have retained a font for the pouring of water only. Even though we had no baptisms at the Easter Vigil, we created an environment in front of the font in order to highlight the blessing of the Easter water.
