The corpus for this processional
cross is cast from the original maquette of the life-sized sculpture entitled
"At Peace" (Bene 2004). At the request of Fr. Andy Smith the cross
is styled after the papal cross. Both are cast aluminum, with a patina
to resemble bronze and weigh in at less than eight pounds. The shaft was
crafted by parishioner Don Schams.
