What is ML?

MINISTRY & LITURGY (ML) is a magazine serving Roman Catholic and liturgical church pastoral leaders. It covers issues in ministry, education, art, environment, technology, and music. ML tackles controversial topics concerning the liturgy and provides a forum for new ideas about worship, art, music, and other aspects of pastoral ministry. ML serves as a helpful guide for liturgical planning and is required reading for the parish professional. While remaining ML, MODERN LITURGY became MINISTRY & LITURGY in 1999.

Who reads ML?

ML is a magazine for the parish team covering worship and the liturgical arts. It is read by members of the clergy, educators, artists and architects, musicians, catechists, and other worship planners. ML's core readers are parish professionals responsible for making purchasing decisions for their parishes.

Why do people read ML?

People read ML for inspiration and for innovative ideas in liturgical planning, art, environment, music, architecture, and religious education. In addition, ML offers product reviews and thorough worship planning suggestions for Sunday services. ML is also read for its visual arts awards issues in which quality liturgical art is recognized each year.

Why should you advertise?

Not only does advertising give your company added exposure, but it also allows you to present detailed information about your product or service to your target market. The more people know about your company and the product or service that you provide, the more readily they will inquire about what you offer and ultimately BUY what you sell.

Where should you advertise?

Use established publications to reach your target market. Look for editorial material that would interest your customers and would encourage them to pay particular attention to your advertisement.
Many of ML's editorial features put readers in a frame of mind to read and act upon your advertisements. Articles include practical ideas for using liturgical art, supplies and services, instruments, music resources, computer software, magazines, and books dealing with all areas of pastoral ministry.

When should you advertise?

You can advertise according to your fiscal year, peak buying times, or seasonal calendar. You can take advantage of several extended circulation issues or you can advertise in an issue that focuses on a topic closely related to your product or service. (Please see below for upcoming ML features.) Other options include advertising in ML's Artists' Directory or annual Parish Resource Directory.
ML advertising deadlines are three months prior to each issue cover date. If you plan your advertising schedule in advance, you may qualify for frequency discounts.

What results should you expect?

By display advertising, you can help sharpen your company's image in the marketplace. It is your chance to let people know what your company is all about and the quality that customers can expect from your product or service. Let ML readers know how your product or service addresses their specific needs, and watch the number of inquiries and sales increase for your company! You can also use the high visibility of display advertising to increase your sales through retail channels.
