New book helps families pray on the go.

SAN JOSE, Calif., October 19, 2004 — Resource Publications, Inc., announces a new little book that will help parents bring prayer into everyday life events.

Prayers on Wheels is a practical book of original prayers for real-life situations. Families can keep it in the car for the drive to school, work, church, or a ballgame — to name just a few. Its simple language enables the whole family, including young readers, to incorporate prayer in their daily routines.

This book has two parts: The first has more than 50 different prayers with a wide range of topics in an easy-to-navigate format; the second is a reader-friendly adaptation of Morning and Evening Prayer. Prayer topics include things like car trouble, bad weather, fishing, eating a meal in the car, going to the dentist, and meeting with a divorced parent.

“In Prayers on Wheels, Father Michael Kwatera acknowledges the fact that the Christian family more frequently gathers together in its car or van than it does around the dinner table and suggests that the automobile has become a natural setting for family prayer.”
— Bea Callery, Director, Office for Lay Ministry, Diocese of Raleigh
