Electronic shopping cart simplifies orders at rpinet.com

SAN JOSE, Calif., June 19, 2002 — Resource Publications, Inc. announces the launch of the electronic shopping cart for their website (www.rpinet.com).

William Burns, publisher, remarked, “In the last few years I have watched our internet sales grow significantly enough to demand the addition of an easier way to place online orders. And I think the customers will agree that the new shopping cart makes placing orders more convenient, user-friendly and reliable.”

The new shopping cart added by RPI on June 11, 2002 offers a completely secure way to place orders online. Attached at the bottom of every product description on the website is a special area to order each product. The customer selects the quantity and then adds the item to their shopping cart. When the customer is finished browsing the e-shelves, they can check out and pay for the items they had placed in the cart.

Ken Guentert, marketing consultant, installed the new shopping cart on the website and commented, “The whole ordering process takes less than 3 minutes. You don’t have to worry about whether or not the order actually went through or whether or not you filled in the correct prices. It automatically generates the prices, titles, quantities, taxes and shipping costs and gives the customer a receipt they can print out as verification that the order was received.”

The cart allows for volume discounts, special promotion prices and sales and automatically deducts them from the total. It also allows the customer to select from multiple shipping and payment options as they go through the check out process. Customers may print out the order to send via fax, e-mail or mail. Alternatively, they may phone in their order to the customer service department’s toll-free number (888-273-7782).
