Donna M. Cole selected as Ministry & Liturgy's fifth editor

SAN JOSE, Calif., November 5, 2002 — Ministry & Liturgy (ML) magazine today announced the appointment of Donna M. Cole of Little Falls, New Jersey as the fifth editor ML has had over its thirty year period of service to parish ministry teams.

Donna has been active in parish liturgical ministry for twenty-five years. She has a master's degree in pastoral ministry from Caldwell College, and she also has been a regular contributor to the pages of ML for many years now. She has also authored a book entitled Liturgical Ministry: a practical Guide to Spirituality, (Resource Publications, Inc., 1996).

Donna says: “Liturgy is what motivates me. It gives me life, hope, peace, and energy. I am especially awed by the ability liturgy has to transform people's lives. I feel challenged by the possibility of reaching such a large number of people as editor, and I am excited about being a part of the process of building better liturgy everywhere.”

ML operated under the editorship of Jake Empereur, SJ from 1974 through 1983, when Ken Guentert took it on. Guentert edited ML until 1990 when John Gallen, SJ took the helm. Nick Wagner took over in 1993, and Now Donna Cole becomes ML's first female editor.

Introducing herself in the November, 2002 issue of ML, Donna pledges to provide practical tools for parish ministers in forthcoming issues, along with the basic raw materials needed to customize the various projects of liturgy and ministry.

Ministry & Liturgy is a professional magazine for members of the parish ministry team.
