CATECHIZING WITH LITURGICAL SYMBOLS
25 Hands-on Sessions for Teens and Adults Pamela J. Edwards Paper, $19.95 128 pages, 8½" × 11" ISBN 0-89390-401-5 View Table of Contents |
Use the sessions in this book to help your families and faith-sharing groups interact with liturgical symbols, be touched by them and allow them to become part of their faith lives. The author combines creative projects, Scripture, story and mini-liturgies to inspire group members to think about their faith and internalize symbols of Christ and the church.
Sessions cover the liturgical year and include many saints feasts such as Joan of Arc, Patrick and Francis of Assisi. Each session includes a stated purpose, a list of materials for creating the symbol, an introduction, group exercises and a rite of celebration in which everyone can participate.
The introduction offers tips and ideas for acquiring materials on a budget, and each rite comes with reproduction permission.
