Reviews
The hundreds of books that cross my desk leave hardly a trail. Not
so with Mary Reeds
... it is an outstandingly interesting and readable book.
Sir Rodney Hartwell, editor in chief, The Augustan Society
Omnibus, Torrance, Calif.
This is a fascinating and unique work, based on wide-ranging work
in religion, history and
folklore. It is a valuable reference book, but much lightened by the
authors sense of humor.
Rabbi Barry A. Marks, Congregation Temple Israel, Springfield,
Ill.
A most witty and imaginative assemblage of folklore pertaining to the
times and deeds of our
favorite food, the walnut.
Turner L. Oyloe, CEO, California Walnut Commission
