LORD, YOU MUST BE JOKING
Bible Stories That Tell Your Story
Eugene Webb
Paper, $10.95
176 pages, 5½” x 8½”
ISBN 0-89390-309-4

People remember stories. And that’s what you get in this great resource from family therapist Eugene Webb. Great stories, set into a biblical context — with a twist that makes you think — about the story, about the Bible, about your story. Reflection questions help the process. A companion leader’s guide helps you use the stories in retreats for adults or youth — or as a supplemental activity in family and other group situations.

Reviews

“As a Christian psychologist, Webb casts a new beam of light from a different angle on well-known personalities from the Bible. They come alive as they express their anxieties, fears, resentments and hopes — most of which sound quite familiar to readers of today.”
— Lee Mountain, Ed.D., professor, University of Houston

“Many people are searching urgently for stories that convey larger meanings about their own individual stories. They want stories that provide resources and healing for their lives — stories that assure that life has meaning and purpose. [Webb’s] stories do just this.”
— Stanley F. Hogle, executive director, Interface-Samaritan Counseling Centers, Houston, Texas
