Ten sessions form the basis for helping your ministers make regular and meaningful visits to persons who are ill and homebound and to their families and caregivers. Both veteran and beginning ministry trainers will appreciate the detailed session plans (including reproducible handouts), which cover topics such as making a visit, how to be caring, communicating care, practicing the presence of God, active listening, prayer as a part of ministry, prayer for wholeness and healing, understanding grief, special challenges in communication and ministry to dying persons.
