Move Over! Teenage Manners Coming Through, written in
consultation with the authors
high-school class, has a cheeky wit designed to appeal to todays
young people. Nevertheless,
the intent is serious: to provide advice on etiquette that teens need but are
not getting anywhere else.
This handbook covers the state of teenage manners today, the way
manners have changed in
both style and importance and practical tools for becoming more mannerly.
Chapters address the
issues of why manners are important, unintended teenage rudeness, eating
etiquette, public
courtesies, teenage fashion and the art of growing up.
Review

Introduction
A recent survey of high school students revealed that, on a scale of one to
ten, teenage manners ranked somewhere between two and five. You know
their manners are not what they could be or should be. According to teens,
the reasons for such a low self-rating are three-fold:
- Parents do not teach or model good manners.
- Manners are not as important as they used to be.
- Teenagers just dont care.
The purpose of this book, written for teens with their advice, is to talk about
manners, explain why manners are important, and provide you with help
when and where you need it most.
