People minister to each other every day. They may not recognize their
ability to touch others, yet they
are comforting the ill, welcoming the alienated and shedding rays of hope
on the desperate. Who are
these unknown ministers? They are every one of the people
in your community. The
stories in this book are about real-life, average people who minister to
others just by carrying out their
day-to-day activities. In telling these stories to assemblies,
catechumens, ministry trainees,
parish groups or family life counselees you can help
your listeners acknowledge
and rejoice in their own hidden giftedness. As they begin to
recognize the minister in
themselves, they will develop a stronger sense of belonging and
commitment to service to
family, community and all Gods people.
