REVELATION
Proclaiming a Vision of Hope Wilfrid Harrington, OP Paper, $14.95 144 pages, 5½” x 8½” ISBN 0-89390-307-8 |
In Revelation, Author Wilfrid Harrington, OP, familiarizes the reader with the literary form apocalypse, explains why and for whom John wrote an apocalypse, discusses the key figures and symbols in Revelation, especially God, the Lamb, the beast and the dragon, shows the contemporary relevance of Johns message and proposes a liturgical presentation of Revelation. He does not use scare tactics, nor does he run the numbers in search of the End time. Instead, in both a scholarly and friendly manner, he presents Revelation with the intent of dismissing popular propaganda and replacing fear with hope.
