REVELATION
Proclaiming a Vision of Hope
Wilfrid Harrington, OP
Paper, $14.95
144 pages, 5½” x 8½”
ISBN 0-89390-307-8

In Revelation, Author Wilfrid Harrington, OP, familiarizes the reader with the literary form “apocalypse,” explains why and for whom John wrote an apocalypse, discusses the key figures and symbols in Revelation, especially God, the Lamb, the beast and the dragon, shows the contemporary relevance of John’s message and proposes a liturgical presentation of Revelation. He does not use scare tactics, nor does he “run the numbers” in search of the End time. Instead, in both a scholarly and friendly manner, he presents Revelation with the intent of dismissing popular propaganda and replacing fear with hope.

Review
