Repair & Restoration
North America’s stained glass windows are maturing. Many of the major cathedrals of Europe have windows that are over 600 years old. But to achieve this longevity, the windows do require periodic care.
For over 60 years Willet Hauser has been a leader in caring for the stained glass treasures of the United States. We maintain a repair and historic restoration department staffed by specialists devoted solely to preserving the beauty of stained glass. Each year we are called upon by more than 1,000 churches to evaluate the condition of their stained glass and counsel them concerning their repair, restoration and protection.
In addition to older Hauser and Willet windows, we have repaired, restored and protected historic windows by many important studios. Among these have been:
- Tiffany
- LaFarge
- Henry Wynd Young
- Connick
- Heaton, Butler & Bayne
- William Butterfield
- Zettler
- Tyrolean
- Franz Mayer
