Sorry, just poking a joke. The city I live in used to have an Olive Garden and it would always be packed - while our city has an Italian sector filled with excellent local-run Italian restaurants with food and decor that would blow away anything from the Olive Garden. Sadly, the Olive Garden did better business than the Italian sector, but only one still survives (the Italian sector... I'm not sure why the Olive Garden shut down.)Gabby

Hard to assess? How about an acoustical nightmare that the Cardinal micromanaged. Even a 100-voice choir of trained singers needs to be amplified. Local organizations are hardly clamoring to perform in the new cathedral. A lot of people see all that concrete and stone and assume there's reverberation but then again that might point to a "eurocentric" aesthetic.That seemed to be the organ music du jour. At my parish, there was even a bulletin blurb which stated the Toccata and Fugue in d was going to be the organ prelude. Another friend of mine said he was also going to do the same at his church.
