Really? Why are you so worried if it's only "a small group of people out there"?
Are you actually talking about Liberation Theology which may have have some Marxism ideas such as on "class struggle"? I'm certainly not proposing that Marxism is a good thing especially since it has no spiritual value but some of the ideas are not terrible ones.

Oh, Anne, identifying him is easy, given the slanders hurled against him in dexter quarters. (Let's just say I suspect they are referring to someone who was a pastor of my parish for a few years before he went on to other things. Folks, no names, please.)

It only took a small group of people angry about the miracles Jesus was performing to convince a much larger group to put the Son of God to death.
Small groups with the right connections are VERY dangerous.
That is theologically incorrect. To put Jesus to death was God's plan to save us; the size of the crowds has nothing to do with it. I could have been only one person's decision, the result would have been the same. Uh, "for God so loved the world..."
