will be re-named "St Brigid the Frigid Lutheran"
The Boiler was given the Lutheran Last Rites yesterday, after a unsuccessful week of prayer vigils and plumbers! It sucummbed to natural cause of old age.
Also, our one chance to get a new building was stymied when the Gas Company finally capped a leak this week they had created in the church when they dug up the sidewalk next to the church, damn! For some reason I found it odd that they had to get through an access panel in a stairway in the church building...
For snyone in this area, you are aware that the Gas Company has a bad reputation lately, with another house being blown to smithereeens just this week in Hyde Park! oooops.
Our final liturgy in the main sanctuary will be today, All Saints Sunday, at 55 degrees at last check. I am guessing we will move to the downstairs Fellowship Hall with heaters for the duration, until the gods of RLC make a decision on how to come up with $30,000.
On the bright side, there is only one piano down there, so I may get another Sabbatical !
Now let's all sing "Sometimes I Feel, like a boilerless church ".

Oh, Randy, sorry to hear that. I'm still playing Lotto, so you never know! $30 grand...wow! We just don't get the effects of cold weather here anymore; just today at the 9, someone only put on 1 of the 3 A/C units on since it was a little cool this morning and people complained about the heat!
I hope you find a benefactor to pay the bill! Keep the faith!
Peace,
Ron
