Your assertion about the need by priests for advice and guidance from colleagues and supervisors is interesting. I assume that you are referring here primarily to diocesan priests rather than to priests who belong to orders in which communal life (conventual, I believe is a word that is used in the orders) is observed as a rule. Do you know if the statistics for abuse by priests belonging to orders are any different?
