Music for Dismissal

For those of you involved in RCIA, does your parish give you "exit music"? (we do, just started this year.)
And how long a walk do you have? (a looooong aisle at our Church)
If so, is it instumental or vocal (ours is instrumental, but hopefully by Lent people will be familiar with it enough to sing along.)

And is you are a catechumen, are you or would you be self-conscious walking out in silence if there was no music played or sung?

Our liturgist seems to feel it is very important not to have silence, but those going through the process themselves don't seem any less self-conscious to have background music played.
