And it is true all over the country, perhaps all over the world,not that they are men of color, but that the homeless often find sanctuary in large urban churches.
And I think it is a good thing -- not that they are homeless, but that we, the Church, afford them this refuge.
I guess I just wish they wouldn't carpet areas that are going to be subjected to such use, it mkaes them impossible to clean in a way that eliminates the stench.
But perhaps the carpetting makes it more comfortable for those in need, so the bad odor is the trade-off we make.
