In the Planning Guide: Summer Ordinary Time, p. 18 of M & L, the Visual Arts issue, Kay Murdy states "Trinity Sunday celebrates an event, not a doctrine or precept."

It has been my understanding that it celebrates a Doctrine, and yes we stand in the Awe of the Almighty, but this is the one liturgy that celebrates a doctrine.

Any ideas on this?
