Sunday evening Mass fits with many folks' schedules and the desire to worship in their own parishes even if life takes them "out of town" for most of the weekend.
Those of us who are not "morning people" find that a day of rest and relaxation culminating in Mass is much better than a Sunday morning Mass or a Saturday evening Mass after a long day of errands and work around the house.
Of course, once the little ones arrive even those who aren't morning people find their schedules turned upside down and early Mass is often best.
